The placement cell of DCS holds the responsibility of overseeing the annual placement exercise of the institute. It aims to help the students to find the job they are looking for and also facilitates companies to conduct their recruiting procedure.
From the year 2000 the strength of M.Sc Computer Science course was increased from 20 to 30 students. The M.Tech (Digital Image Processing) programme was revived during the time and a new batch with 18 students was started in 2001.
The output of the Department increased from 20 to 48 per year. The Department enjoys the privilege of being the nearest learning center to the TechnoPark Trivandrum. So the placements for the previous batches were 100%.
Campus recruitments are conducted through the Department. Campus selections are carried out by software companies and other reputed firms.
60 to 70% of the M.Sc and M.Tech students got jobs in various companies like GE, IBM, TCS, NesT, Infosys, C-DAC, IBS, SunTec, Case Consult (India), Travancore Analytics, TataElxi, Colleges and R&D institutes through the campus selection programme last year.

Student Service cells/ Women's Cell, Grievance Cell etc. support the students.
